Set before the events of the main game, Homefront: The Revolution‘s newly released DLC, The Voice of Freedom puts you in the shoes of resistance Demigod Benjamin Walker. So anyone who thought he seemed a bit naff, and it was all just a bunch of exaggeration, mayhap now it’s time to change your mind.

Taking place, apparently, almost entirely in the claustrophobic subways, Walker’s task is to infiltrate the beleaguered city of Philadelphia and meet up with its equally beleaguered local resistance fighters. On the way in, however, he has to not only worry about roving KPA, but a new threat in the shape of an infamous street gang called the “90” who even the Koreans seem to be wary of.

With an emphasis on sneaking and hiding, The Voice of Freedom is available now, free of charge to those who already own the Homefront Expansion Pack, or at a cost of £4.99 if purchased on its own. With the recent performance patch, which Dambuster assure us has addressed all the previous complaints, there couldn’t be a better time to jump in and do your bit. Hop to it soldier!

What HF needed is free DLC. The game was inherently flawed. The free content might have softened the negative impact.
