Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios are calling all able bodied soldiers to take arms and join the battle for the Revolution once again in Homefront. This weekend comes a special chance for all those who didn’t throw money at their screens or had access to a friend’s library via Steam Family Sharing at the launch of Homefront: The Revolution back in May.

Players will be given a special FREE weekend pass to play the game from now, up until Sunday, September 11th at 10:00PM BST. Download and Jump into either the Single Player experience, or head online to battle against your oppressors with the Resistance Co-op Mode. If that wasn’t enough, you’ll also be able to access the newest content and features being added, both the ‘Boom Patrol’ and Indy Forever’ missions in single player, along with the ‘Guerilla Score’ and ‘Renown’ systems in the online co-op mode.

If you were ever curious about Homefront: The Revolution, no better time like the present to take advantage of this opportunity. Take it out for a test run, have some fun with your mates and if you find yourself enjoying the game, treat yourself with the massive 40% off discount for the base game along with a generous 50% off discount for the Freedom Fighter Bundle DLC. This offer won’t last long though, so you better hurry on up and take the plunge with the FREE weekend pass and massive discounts up until Monday, Sept 12th on Steam.

I enjoyed the campaign for the most part, had some rough spots, but overall, quite entertaining. I also enjoyed the multiplayer mode the few times I played it but... that was short lived, I don't know anyone who even plays this anymore... and what's a online co-op experience without a buddy :(
