…or to put it more succinctly, Fallout Shelter is now on Steam, and has its Easter update to boot.

Probably seeing that many people haven’t downloaded Bethesda’s own digital download manager (mostly as of us who use Nexus mods) or haven’t updated to Windows 10 yet, have decided to release Fallout Shelter on Steam for thus of us who haven’t picked this addictive little game up yet.

While also updating their game with an Easter theme, which adds in 30 new quests, a special limited reward that is a Legendary Pet, and other rewards that you can either get for free or via buying in-game lunchboxes. While this was a mobile game first, I do hope the additions that have been added make it a good time killer for laptop use while on a train, which is what I thought it was when Bethesda released it on their store initially.

So, for those who’s mobiles aren’t big enough or powerful enough to play, and wonder what it’s all about, head on over to Steam and have a download, it’s free, so worth a trial at the very least.

Official Press Release

With more than 75 million players worldwide, the biggest Fallout game ever is now on the biggest PC platform ever. That’s right – Fallout Shelter, the award-winning game that puts Overseers in control of their own Vault and an army of Dwellers, can now be downloaded — for free — on Steam.

PC fans should head to the game’s Steam Page to download and start managing their own survival community – all the while earning Steam Achievements – by leveling up Survivors, exploring the Wasteland to find supplies, and sending their Dwellers out on exciting Quests for special rewards. Steam players can also take advantage of Steam Cloud support, allowing them to switch PCs and seamlessly pick up where they left off building their Vault.

Also today, the game has received an update across all platforms that introduces more than 30 new Quests and a special limited time Easter Quest that rewards players with an exclusive Legendary Pet, a free lunchbox and other rewards.

About Fallout Shelter

Fallout Shelter thrusts players into the role of Overseer to build their own Vault, manage dwellers, and adventure through Fallout’s iconic wasteland. Since the game’s original launch in 2015, the game has continued to expand and add features, including Crafting, Scrapping, Pets, additional rooms, iconic Fallout 4 characters, and special Dweller customisation options. The game’s constantly growing Quest system allows Overseers to send Dwellers out into the Wasteland to abandoned buildings, decrepit Vaults, and mysterious caves to uncover legendary loot and face off against enemies like Radscorpions, Ghouls, and powerful bosses.

Fallout Shelter currently available for free on Android and iOS devices, Xbox One and Windows 10 via Play Anywhere, on PC through Bethesda’s launcher, and now through Steam.

Yep Fallout Shelter is a nice time sink, but I found the controls more than a bit annoying. It''ll be much more enjoyable if I can finally use a mouse to play it.

I have tried it on PC, it still has a lot of the "click to gather resources, or your crew idles" from the mobile aspect.

But having mouse input is extremely handy, though a little annoying as it's almost as if they didn't quite get it to line up for moving dwellers around, a good start, but too much of a "direct mobile copy" in my opinion.

Does it still delete your Vault every time there's a fucking patch?
