You have to give both Square Enix and IO Interactive some credit when it comes to creating unique, exciting and sometimes strange events and content updates to their successful episodic HITMAN game. As expected, quickly following HITMAN’s Fourth Episode release comes, what perhaps, may be the oddest Elusive Target event to date. With extremely little information given besides a cryptic press email with the title ‘H!Tm@N:3Lu51V£1T4|3Ge79’ accompanied by its release date of August 26th and a 72 Hour time frame, one is left to speculate just what Agent 47 will be challenged with later this week.

If I was a betting man, I would have to go ‘all in’ on the notion of this new event revolving around a group or member of an elite hacker cell, much akin to ‘fsociety from the hit American drama-thriller television series ‘Mr.Robot’. In all honesty, it’s hard to judge what this mystery event will entail, we’ve seen some odd events unfold in the past already, I wouldn’t put it past the team behind HITMAN if the next Elusive Target is Agent 47 sparring off against a rogue advanced alien invasion or players being thrust into an epic cyber revolution in the vein of Disney’s Tron. Only time will tell.
