Star Citizen Patch 2.4 Brings in Persistence

In a large update that hit on Friday, Cloud Imperium pushed in a big part of the game to Star Citizen – persistence – which brings it one step closer to the final product. So far in the 3 years of development we have had many ups and downs, and a lot of knowledge that nothing was persistent. However the big Alpha 2.4, and yes, this game is still deeply in Alpha, gives us the start of an MMO. Shopping, more than 3 outfits, and persistence in regards to your wallet and other things, has been added as well as massive changes to controls, balancing, and ships, including your hangar.

This update allows for most small ships to be flown, the new MISC Reliant is in, as well as the Starfarer tanker. There are so many changes that if you are interested, head on over to the patch notes and take a look.

If you still don’t have an account but want one, head on over to the Subreddit thread from the last Free Fly weekend. It will get you up to speed on a lot of basics. Jump in if you do have an account, or sit and wait like most of us to see what the game will be like in another 4 years, which by then, it would have been in development for the same length of time as Fallout 4.

See you in the Verse.
