I might as well just write up a transcript of the above trailer, because there isn’t much else to say. Space Hulk: Deathwing now has a December release date and an incoming beta for “a limited number” of pre-order customers which will begin some time next week.

The Beta will consist of the game’s tutorial, and will offer four player co-op, just like the finished game. Everything else you need to know, seriously, is in the video above. Which you will want to watch, because this is shaping up to be a delicious game, promising that each ship, section, room and corridor that makes up the Space Hulk (a twisted conglomeration of a multitude of ships lost in the warp) will be a unique environment. A visual poem written in steel and stone.

Deathwing will release for PC on December 9th, with consoles following early next year.

‘Nuff said.

These betas will be the perfect opportunity to gather the latest feedback from players in order to offer the best possible gaming experience.

In the meantime, discover today a new trailer for the game, Enter the Space Hulk, introducing the developers’ meticulous attention to detail and introduces the plot of its campaign, playable in both solo and coop.

Each Space Hulk is an amalgamation of ancient ships and space debris, and Olethros is filled with lore from the 10,000 years since the dawn of the Imperium to the 41st Millennium. You will be exploring Black Templar ships, troop transports, and even pirate vessels that were lost in the Warp and became part of the Space Hulk OIethros’ bowels. Streum On Studios made sure that every inch of the colossal ships, each corridor and each room, contains highly detailed designs, unique architectural styles, and references to Warhammer 40,000 history.

An incredible amount of care was also given to the enemies and their AI. The Genestealers have many variants with unique abilities and skills, combined with their AI utilizing pack tactics and ambushes that are faithful to the lore.

As a Terminator Armour-clad member of the Deathwing, you have access to the most advanced weapons the Imperium has to offer. Available to you and your squad are the iconic Stormbolter and other famous Space Marine weapons and variants.

Don your Terminator power armor, take up your Storm Bolter, and bring glory to the Emperor in Space Hulk: Deathwing when the game launches December 9 on PC. The game will release early 2017 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Pre-order now the game on Steam and get access to the pre-order Beta, 15% off and one in-game weapon – the Lost Mace of Corswain.

I was never into the other Warhammer 40k games, Space Hulk and the Space Marine ones were interesting tho, this one is probably first time I'm semi-excited to play a 40k game.

This is Grand Master Belial

addressing all warriors of the First Company. A space hulk has been deposited here by the uncaring tides of the immaterium. Our brothers shall assist the Astra Militarum and Imperial Navy in destroying this tendril of the Great Devourer. Let fury guide your weapons.

Let vengeance be your song. An immense Space Hulk has emerged from the Warp in an imperial system. It is given the name Olethros. The Dark Angels Chapter of Space Marines has intercepted astropathic pleas for aide. The chapter's elite Deathwing answer the call.

After a reconnaissance squad is lost deep in the Space Hulk a Librarian is sent to find his lost battle brothers. Breaching the hull of the Olethros the Librarian and his battle brothers begin a journey into darkness and revelation. Written in collaboration with Black Library author Gav Thorpe

the campaign that follows is laden with twists and Easter eggs for fans of Warhammer 40,000 universe. The ship wrecks that make up the Space Hulk are craft that have been lost to the Warp across the 10,000 years between the dawn of the Imperium to the 41st Millenium.

Each and every ship, room and corridor in the game is unique and have been designed by Streum On Studio to create environments that offer windows into different aspects of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Drawing on references and themes in Warhammer 40,000 art and lore

the spaces are colossal but also detailed down to the purity seals and wall rivets. From a Black Templar warship to a mass troop transport every ship is a story rendered in metal and stone. Similar care has been given to the enemies

you will face in the game. There are multiple types of Genestealer each evolved to a specific purpose and each with their own advantages and abilities. Alongside their Genestealer kin are Hybrids crossbreeds of Genestealer and Human DNA.

Each of these abominations has been meticulously modeled and given individual and swarm AI behavior. Just as the Hive Mind adapts the behavior of Genestealers in the lore your enemies will change strategy depending on their numbers and the situation.

Thankfully, the Terminators of the Deathwing have access to the finest weapons and armour. Each member of your squad wears a uniquely ornamented suit of Tactical Dreadnought armour known as Terminator armour. You also have a huge armoury of weapons

to shoot, burn, or hack your foes to death with. Every Storm Bolter, Plasma Cannon and Heavy Flamer has been created as an individual artifact. Added to that are weapons drawn from the Dark Angel's reliquaries such as the Redemption Storm Bolter and the master crafted Plasma Cannon, Calliban's Spear.

Don your armour, raise your blade and step into the darkness to face the enemies of the Imperium.
