The long-awaited day of vengeance for mankind is upon us, with the release of Nier: Automata for PC.

Ten days after the release of Platinum’s genre-busting RPG on PlayStation 4, the story of mankind, flung some 9,000 years or so into the future has landed on Steam, though not without generating some controversy. Never mind the discussion of Denuvo DRM, there have been well documented issues with the PC port, from dodgy mouse and keyboard controls, to issues with full-screen mode, to FPS locks, and more, both in the games media and in the community discussions.

Despite this, Nier: Automata seems to have had quite the impressive launch day, with nearly 24,000 players online after the unlock. Stay tuned, and you might see a review out of us yet for perhaps the finest JRPG released thus far in 2017.
