Launch of the Tomb Raider

There are only a few days left, do you have your 100k credits in Rise of the Tomb Raider yet, because there’s a lot to look forward to in the update next week. Including a bunch of new skins from the older games, new single player content about Lara’s Mother and her ownership of the Croft mansion being challenged. New co-op gameplay in the form of Endurance mode, which basically just tasks you to not die, presumably so you don’t become one of the zombie hordes in Lara’s Nightmare. And the part I’m personally most keen on, a new Extreme Survivor difficulty.

Supposedly, Rise, now offers over 50 hours of gameplay. Which is interesting, ’cause I 100% it in about 35 hours, and the new single player bit is only about another hour on top…so maybe they’re talking about Endurance but that’s repeatable so…eh, whatever. Despite my reservations and occasional, passive aggressive digs, it’s actually a really good game. And there has never been a better time to jump in. Either as an existing season pass holder, or by picking up the 20th Anniversary Edition itself.

But hurry! It’ll be here October 11th.
