Final Fantasy X and its sequel X-2 have not only been given the HD remaster treatment but they’ve also now been ported to PC and are now available via Steam. Both games benefit from similar additions that Square Enix has made to its other Final Fantasy PC ports, such as an auto-save feature as well as high speed and no random encounter modes. And yes, there are now trading cards and Steam achievements as well. Check out the trailer above.
This is excellent news especially for me as now all of my favourite mainline Final Fantasy games have been ported to PC and are now available on Steam. IX is my favourite but X-2 actually introduced me to the series. For all of the hate X-2 gets and whilst it certainly left a lot to be desired as a follow-up to X, it really isn’t that bad of a standalone game…and now I get to replay its silliness and watch those magical girl inspired dress sphere sequences in high definition!
X and X-2 are currently available on Steam as a bundle. You can get both games right now for the discounted price of £16.00 until the 19th of May. After that, the bundle will be available at the regular price of £19.99 or €24.99. Check out the full press release below.
