Today, the creators of the very well made Turok: Dinosaur Hunter remastered edition, Night Dive Studios, have released a new level editor with Steam workshop support. You can now create your own dinosaur filled arenas, fight against hordes of Triceratops, or even die by the hands of the 200 boss mobs you spawned into the game at the same time.

The new Level Editor for Turok also allows users to create and modify maps, add new features, and build custom areas. Share your levels with the community and upload via the Steam Workshop! Full manual available to boot!

To top it all of, the game is currently available for just $4,99 USD during Steam’s annual Winter Sale. This remaster is certainly worth your time and investment, if you grew up playing this back in the old days of Nintendo 64, why not head back to nostalgia land, but with some extra goodies, such as; new dynamic lighting effects, everybody’s favorite… bloom, FXAA, enhanced water effects, and loads of sparkling lights shafts.

With what they did to re-ignite an old fossil like Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, I wouldn’t be surprised if even John Hammond was impressed. I can’t wait for their remastered version for the best Turok game there ever was, Turok 2: Seed of Evil, hopefully will hit Steam in the near future.
