The Division’s Free Weekend Event Begins

Ubisoft is totally feeling the ‘Holiday Spirit’ this year. Over the last few weeks, they’ve given away seven select games… for FREE. They’re spreading the joy with their festive themed ’30 Days of Giveaways’ in which each day they give away random things like games, wallpapers and various other holiday themed gifts.

Just today they started a special 30th Anniversary Encore Game Bundle giveaway, letting those who might have missed a free game along the way another chance at grabbing themselves some awesome games. Then we find ourselves here, with yet another generous offer from Ubisoft and the team behind Tom Clancy’s The Division, with a FREE weekend event for anyone who doesn’t already own the game a chance to try it before they buy it.

Speaking of buying, those interested can also take advantage of the solid 50% off discount currently available for Tom Clancy’s The Division until December 19th, which coincidentally is when the FREE weekend event finishes. Most recently The Division received itself a teeny, tiny, itty, bitty little patch, so tiny in fact that there won’t be any typical server offline maintenance time.

Below you’ll find yourself the complete PC Patch Notes… yes, I know, it’s awfully minuscule, but hey, look at all the other neat things Ubisoft has been doing the past few weeks. Those busy beavers barely have the time to fix their games with all the generosity oozing out the seams.

  • Fixed some instances with Xbox controllers failing to work on PC.
  • Addresses a few rare cases when Fullscreen mode is not working.
  • Improvements to audio positioning.
  • General improvements to high CPU usage cases on the PC.
  • Fixed an issue where players would lose control of their characters for a brief moment.
