Space Hulk: Deathwing is Now Available on Steam

All you Space “Hulkamaniacs” out there rejoice! Focus Home Interactive have officially launched the newest iteration in the hugely popular Warhammer 40k mythos today on Steam with Space Hulk: Deathwing.

Straying completely from the vast majority of Warhammer 40k games out there, and even from the previous Space Hulk games top down, isometric gameplay. Deathwing is a first-person shooter built upon the mighty Unreal Engine 4, housing a complete single player campaign experience, as well as a 4 player co-op mode for you and your space buddies to obliterate the Genestealer hoards together.

The 1st Company of the Dark Angels, being led by their Librarian, prepares to board the behemoth derelict Space Hulk, which has be thrown into Imperial space by the callous floods of the Immaterium. Players must lock n’ load up with the Imperium’s finest weaponry, channel their destructive Psyker powers, and lead their squaddies into a ferocious battle with the Xenos Genestealer swarms aboard the gigantic Space Hulk.

Space Hulk: Deathwing is a First-Person Shooter based on Games Workshop’s classic boardgame Space Hulk – set in the universe of Warhammer 40,000. Developed on Unreal Engine 4, the game tasks you – in an extensive solo campaign co-written by Black Library author and Dark Angels specialist Gav Thorpe, or in a challenging coop mode up to 4 players – with facing the Genestealer swarms in the depths of a gigantic amalgamation of interstellar debris and wrecked spacecraft known as a Space Hulk. Welp, that doesn't sound good at all, why... oh why can't games work properly on launch these days lol.... (we all know why...)

Seems to me, very much, like the devs ran out of money and rushed this out the door. Effectively doing a retail launch of what is actually an Early Access game. The plan being, get money from sales to continue working on and making the game work

This seems like "Video Game Development 101", rush it out the door, get money, fix it later.... alarmingly it's happening more and more as the days go by, it's so bad in fact that its RARE to see a game be launch problem free these days, when we do see them, we're sooo bloody grateful for it... it should be a standard not an exception...
