Metal Unit Fires a Salvo on Steam February 4th
The silky-smooth mech-based action-platform is accepting review quests now!
Seattle – January 16, 2020 | Metal Unit, published by NEOWIZ and developed by JellySnow Studio, will officially be released for Early Access on February 4th. It’s the first game of several coming out in 2020 from Neowiz’ S2 Initiative, aimed at helping Indie Developers realize their dream games.
Metal Unit can best be described as a story-driven, side-scrolling action platformer with a wide range of weapons and attacks that allow gamers to play any style they want. It also has some rogue-like elements in that you lose any equipment or items you gained if you die, but instead accrue ‘research points’ to get new items or skills. The protagonist, Joanna, goes on an epic journey whilst battling against monsters and machines to save humanity and get revenge on her traitorous sister that has taken up arms with the invading alien race.
Metal Unit has also been running a ‘Beta Test for Creators’ for the last couple of weeks and has received rave reviews. The response so far has been focused on the game’s well-constructed storyline, fast and exciting battle system and its high-quality pixel art. The beta testing is scheduled to conclude on January 20th, but the robust amount of support is already setting the game up for a successful launch next month.
The developers plan to take full advantage of the EA period and actively respond to player feedback from around the globe. They are also setting their sights on releasing the full version of the game within 6 months of starting EA.
