Coming out of PAX East, Cliff Bleszinski and his team at Boss Key Studios have released a new trailer for their gravity-centric FPS, LawBreakers. Within, you can find jetpacks, wallrunning, and zipline assassinations aplenty, in addition to some gunplay that seems right at home in a Quake game.

Alongside this trailer is the news that Alpha testing signups have been opened on the official website for the game. There’s not a date yet for the Alpha phase, so it’s hard to say just how far from now players will be able to get their hands on the game. Previously, Bleszinski revealed that LawBreakers will not be a free-to-play game, as it didn’t fit his vision for the title.

Official Press Release

LOS ANGELES – APRIL 21, 2016 – Beat gravity into submission in LawBreakers, the debut game from Cliff Bleszinski’s Boss Key Studios. Players can register now for the chance to participate and dominate, in LawBreakers’ upcoming series of public Alpha tests on www.lawbreakers.com , becoming one of the first to get their hands on the highly anticipated game. Dates for the Alpha tests have not yet been announced, but fans can sign up via the website or Wishlist LawBreakers on Steam to be first in the know.

LawBreakers is a first-person shooter in which even the laws of physics can be shattered, creating intense gravity-based combat and resulting in an ever-evolving and bloody arena. Set in a futuristic rebuilt America, players will choose whether to kill for the nobility of the “Law,” or go out for blood as a “Breaker,” as they take part in the conflict raging across iconic locations including the boiling oceans off the Santa Monica coastline, to a gravity ravaged Grand Canyon and nearly unrecognizable Mount Rushmore.

The team at Boss Key Productions recently revealed a more distinct look and tone for their game, setting LawBreakers apart in a crowded market by embracing the mature attitude of Cliff’s initial vision. In addition to revamping the reimagined – and Shura-owned – Grand Canyon in the Grandview Map, Boss Key has expanded their cast of ruthless antiheroes. Hellion and Bomchelle have joined the side of the “Law”, and two more characters, Kintaro and Toska-9, are allied with the “Breakers”. These new killers round out the current slate of characters involved in this brutal conflict and give both sides mirrored roles with complementary weapons and abilities. These additions will create a more balanced gameplay experience, giving players access to all the current roles, represented in a symmetric fashion, whether they play as “Law” or “Breakers”

Fans who want to jump into the energetic gravity-based combat and dominate the competition can register now for the chance to be selected for a series of public Alpha tests.

If you’re attending PAX East this weekend, you can also play LawBreakers in booth #5116 in the Boston Convention Center. Everyone who plays will collect exclusive swag and a chance to commemorate their best kill with a custom-made video clip shared digitally on social media.

Boss Key recently announced LawBreakers will be a premium digital game, and a Steam exclusive at launch. For more information, or to register for the Alpha tests, please visit: www.lawbreakers.com .

I didn't even know GDC had happened this year. Being without a working PC for three months cut me right out of the loop

I think so, yeah. They announced a "reimagining" of the game back at GDC, but no one really paid it any attention, since there's been a whole glut of "creative first person shooters" lately, it seems.

I'd completely forgotten this was even a thing. They've been working on it quite a while now huh? Didn't Cliffy Bollocks say it would be released, like, end of last year or something?
