Remember when they said that Pearl Harbour woke a sleeping giant? Considering history, that seems an apt description. Yet a dragon slumbers too, far away in the lands of what was known as the Middle Kingdom a long time ago. The Chinese Republic, only recently replacing the empires of old faces its greatest challenge. Ideologically divided, it is a seemingly ripe target for its aggressive neighbours. But, after centuries of warring warlords, the rise and fall of many empires, the Chinese people are nothing but resilient and will unite to protect their homeland.

In Hearts of Iron IV: Waking the Tiger, Paradox focuses on China – the first front of the Second World War. It has only been a few years since Japan turned its imperialist appetites on to this rich land, taking in impunity as great powers stood by.

To aid players of China, new National Focuses dedicated to Nationalist and Communist China will now guide you through alternate histories that could save or unite the Chinese nation. With manpower aplenty, China certainly has the raw power to drive back Japan – or even go further.

Next to this, Waking the Tiger will feature an updated Japanese and German Focus tree, Chain of Command upgrades and new national decisions.

Hearts of Iron IV: Waking the Tiger will be available soon with on major digital distribution channels.
