Dawn of Andromeda has been released upon the galaxy!
DoA is an RTS/4X hybrid; meaning it has elements of empire management games, but it also has faster, real time combat elements too. There are number of games that use similar mechanics to this, but the 4X genre, although niche, still has a huge amount of flexibility. In other words, there’s plenty of room for diversity, and plenty of opportunity for Dawn of Andromeda to offer 4X gamer’s something fresh and unique.
Personally, I think the past year has been incredible for 4X games, of all descriptions, and it’s hard enough just deciding between playing Stellaris, MoO(CtS) and Stars in Shadow. However, I’m open to the idea of a faster paced 4X, and if DoA gets the multiplayer right, it could become my new favourite time sink.
Developer GreyWolf Entertainment and publisher Iceberg Interactive are delighted to announce that real-time space 4X title, Dawn of Andromeda, has now left Early Access and is available on Steam and all major digital game sites, at the SRP of $29.99. To celebrate its release, the game will be on sale at 10% off SRP, starting now through May 11. Having spent several months successfully in Early Access, the team has implemented much of the community feedback and guidance provided by dedicated fans.
Erik Schreuder, CEO of Iceberg Interactive, says “Today marks a major release for us, and our team is happy to report that we have arrived in space! We have worked tirelessly to provide fans with the best version of the game possible and we hope they will enjoy it with today’s full launch.”
