MOBA/Shooter hybrid Battleborn’s open beta is fast approaching, ahead of its May 8th release date. Previously, we detailed what one can expect from the campaign side of things, but as this is a multiplayer-focused title, Gearbox has seen fit to give access to an open beta lasting on PC from April 13th to the 18th. Seven heroes will be playable immediately upon launch, with the ability to unlock other characters and customizations as you play the game.

Pre-loading for the Battleborn beta is available now, and to those waiting to get their hands on Gearbox’s latest title, they have released a promotional video detailing the different factions, game modes, and other features of their game, as seen above.

Official Press Release

The Battleborn Open Beta begins April 8th on PS4 and April 13th on PC and Xbox One, and you can pre-load NOW on all platforms.

During the Open Beta, you’ll be able to experience the natural progression of Battleborn; including two Story Mode episodes, two Competitive Multiplayer Modes, 25 heroes (some instantly available, some will unlock as you progress), and as you play, you’ll rank up on three different progression systems.
