The Dwarves, they have beards, beards everywhere. Big beards, thick beards, long beards and plaited. Featuring real-time tactical battles with physics based combat beards, “Combeards” if you will.
The peaceful scholar Tungdil must gather together an entire army of other bearded brethren to bring peace back to the land of Girdlegard. Perhaps by putting it on a strict calisthenics regimen and a high fiber diet? But lets take a closer look at the beardless freaks on the team, first being Narmora, an agile assassin who’s stealth expertise allows her to swiftly take an enemy by surprise. Her “Shadow Step” skill sees her teleporting both in and out of battle in the blink of an eye. Utilizing “Shadow Death” and her “Assassin” skills, cut your foes down en masse.
Then there’s Djerun, this giant mechanical death dealer towers over his foes, standing 10 feet tall and sporting a killer ‘Sauron’ inspired jet black armor and duel wielding his weapons of mass destruction. Djerun is a force to be reckoned with, during battle this combat machine is deadly to both friend and foe, with his long reach, wildly swinging can be advantageous for allies as he is prone to unleash plenty of splash damage with his special skills. No wonder Maga Andokai hired him as their bodyguard.
Fun fact, beards consist of at least 60% fiber and will make any person who grows one, at minimum, 87.24% more facially hairy than a none bearded person. The Dwarves (and their beards) are waiting patiently for you on Steam, available to download since being launched the previous week.

Vienna/Bremen, November 24th: Exactly one week before the release of The Dwarves, THQ Nordic introduces a new hero in their “Meet the Dwarves” video series. Narmora, the swift and agile assassin specializes in sneaking up on single enemies and striking them down before they even see her. She can appear anywhere on the battlefield in a blink of an eye using “Shadow Step” or teleport back and forth to quickly assassinate 1 to 10 targets with her skills “Assassination” and “Shadow Death”.
Vienna/Bremen, November 30th: Only one day left until The Dwarves will finally be released! Today, THQ Nordic wants to introduce to you another one of Tungdil’s companions: Djerun, the ten feat high chunk of metal and bodyguard of the Maga Andokai.
Be careful where to unleash this combat machine because many of his special attacks will hurt not only his enemies, but also his allies. Even with his basic attacks this slow melee fighter can hit many foes at once.
Vienna/Bremen, December 1st: Celebrate! The Dwarves have arrived. The coolest fantasy race of all time finally has their own, great adventure. Heroic dwarf Tungdil – scholar, smith and blessed with a gentle heart – has to gather a group of fellow companions and embark on an epic journey to save Girdlegard (the once peaceful realm of Men, Elves and Dwarves) from all evil.
The Dwarves offers massive-scale, tactical battles in real-time and a brand new, physics-based “crowd combat system”, to let the players feel the thrill of fighting hundreds of enemies with only a small bunch of heroes (no pun intended).
Besides the challenging combat, players can dive into a deep story, based on the best-selling ‘The Dwarves’ series of novel by Markus Heitz.
During its successful Kickstarter campaign back in 2015, developer KING Art Games allied up with the famous German metal band Blind Guardian, who are performing a tremendous song about The Dwarves: Children of the Smith’.
