HITMAN 11th Elusive Target Event Live

What a perfect time for Io-Interactive to deliver another slice of “Elusive Target” pie. Just around the corner is Hitman’s Season Finale, for all those impatient assassins out there in murderland who can’t wait another two weeks for the newest installment, comes the eleventh Elusive Target event.

The Fixer, taking place in the Episode 3: Marrakesh locale, is available today for all Season Pass holders on all applicable platforms. Much like the previous Elusive Targets, this live event is a one shot deal; players have only one attempt to take down their target and escape with the highest score possible, once they’re down, they’re down for the count.

The target to meet the end of one of Agent 47’s bullets is Xander Haverfoek, who’s in the neighborhood to collect some conflict diamonds for his good ol’ buddy, Claus Hugo Strandberg. Players must track down the target, collect the booty, show Xander a one way ticket to hell, and then high tail it out of the area in order to successfully complete the job.

With today’s event comes an extended target deadline of 168 hours, ending October 21st. Some people might think that these events are truly a one chance, fail, game over, the end, do not pass go, end of the line, you lose type of dealio. Technically it’s not, you can restart an unlimited amount of times, as long as you never actually kill the target, once that happens, what’s done is done. As such, one could totally take advantage of the 7 day deadline to get a feel of the surroundings before finally committing to plan.

The eleventh Elusive Target, The Fixer, is now live in Marrakesh across all platforms. A briefing video is available online and in-game to help players determine the approximate location of the target. Players will need to own HITMAN Episode 3: Marrakesh in order to access this content.

Elusive Targets are part of the live content being published for HITMAN in-between episodes and represent a new game mode debuting for players. They are not going to be easy but if you can prove yourself, you’ll earn in-game rewards for completing multiple Elusive Target contracts. You will receive the first reward, the signature suit from Hitman: Absolution for successfully completing 5 Elusive Target contracts. Complete 10 Elusive Target contracts to receive the signature suit from Blood Money. Future rewards will include versions of those suits with gloves.

The Elusive Targets are specially crafted, unique targets, which come with particular rules:
·         An Elusive Target is a once in a lifetime experience
·         They are available for a limited time only in game – this first Elusive Target will last 48 hours
·         Intel on the target will be limited
·         They will not appear in instinct mode, or the mini map and their locations will not be revealed to you – you’ll have to go and find them
·         Plan accordingly before you engage your target
·         Your target can only die once
·         If you die during the mission, that’s it
·         When the time runs out, they are gone for good
·         If you fail, there are no second chances
