BioShock is back, and looking better than ever, revamped with completely remastered versions coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC. Packaged as BioShock: The Collection it will include all three titles from the BioShock franchise with all previously released add-on DLC. On the PC we get only the first two games as 2K considers Infinite pretty enough already but on the bright side if you already own BioShock 1 & 2 you get the remastered versions for free.

A comparison trailer has been released showing off part of the prologue sequence from the first game running at 1080p 60fps showing off new game assets with improved high definition textures created by Blind Squirrel Games. Alongside we also get a teaser trailer previewing episode one of a new director commentary series called “Imagining BioShock”. This commentary series is unlocked in BioShock: The Collection by collecting Golden Reels hidden within Rapture. After collecting all these Golden Reels, fans get the opportunity to watch nearly two hours of director’s commentary, featuring Ken Levine, creative director on BioShock and BioShock Infinite and Shawn Robertson, animation lead on BioShock and animation director on Infinite. 2K will release two exclusive videos every week between now and the launch of BioShock: The Collection, so stay tuned.

We look forward to returning to Rapture and Columbia with you on 13th September in NA, 15th in Australia and 16th in the rest of the world.
