No, this isn’t meant to sound like a farewell post, as much as the odd title from Respawn made it sound, but rather, a look ahead.

Early in development of the stunning Titanfall 2, Respawn announced that all forthcoming maps and updates would be free, with the only paid micro-transactions being cosmetics, either for Titans or for Pilots. Now, with the Angel City and Live Fire updates well and out, Respawn is hoping to provide better communication regarding the updates to come.

Of course, what those updates would be was not revealed right now, but it is nice to know that Respawn is working hard to build up their title the best they can. Developer diaries, Q&A sessions, and generally improved community engagement is at the forefront of Respawn’s plan for the future, and hopefully this continues, well past the traditionally expected death of the multiplayer shooter.
