That’s good, because The Escapists 2 now has a map editor, available via the latest update, released just today, that will allow you to create your own prisons to play. Designers will have two floors, two vent layers, and a roof to play with so your (our) dreams of creating a multistorey penis shaped prison can finally come true. You can also share your creations through the Steam Workshop and they can be played both in solo and coop, including online.

5th December 2017, UK – Award-winning international games label Team17 has today launched a free update for its sandbox escape hit The Escapists 2 on PC. The new update adds in a much-requested fan feature, a Prison Map Editor.
The addition of the new Prison Editor allows players to design and create their own custom prisons to play. The editor is intuitive to use, enabling players to drag and drop elements and rooms into their prison, which can be built over two floors, two vent layers and a roof. Construct cells, forge floors and manufacture maintenance rooms and more, the freedom is yours…. for now!
Finished prisons can then be shared through Steam Workshop and can be played either solo or in both local and online multiplayer!
The map editor update is now available as a free update through Steam for The Escapists 2.
The Escapists 2 is out now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, Mac and Linux via Steam. A Nintendo Switch™ version is currently in development.
