The Elementary Daughter

Either I have been sorely misinformed or I’ve missed a really doozie of a plot twist. And Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter isn’t even out yet!

The young Katelyn, the game’s titular daughter, is in fact not the child of Holmes new neighbour. She’s the progeny of Holmes himself. This leaves one wondering where she’s been hiding during the plethora of games that came before, and adds a little insight into some of the previous trailers. Particularly the one where Holmes started tripping balls and seeing the city start to fall apart around him. Perhaps the old chap has been at his pipe a tad too frequently of late.

Well, either way, he has a sprog now, and all the crazy is revolving around her. And the enigmatic Miss De’Bouvier who has only recently taken up residence in the room next door. Precious little of her has been said or shown to date, but we are certain she is a major part of…something. Thankfully, only four days remain to the June 10th release date and I, for one, am in no overabundance of patience to wait that long.

I was lucky enough to have the chance to try this out the other day, really enjoyed the more 'open-world' approach to the series, the visuals are quite outstanding, especially the textures, you can tell it's running on UE4, ran pretty great too, will definately be digging deeper into this in the coming days.
