Right after the Street Fighter V top 8 at CEO 2016, Capcom had a little surprise in for all of us. The bull-headed boxer Balrog has beaten his way back into the knock-down brawl that is Street Fighter V, this time sporting a fancy new cloak and stage.

As you might expect, Balrog throws some seriously heavy punches between specials, what look like target combos, and a V-Trigger punch-rush that can carry opponents across the screen. As for super, it’s less like your typical Street Fighter cinematic and more akin to Spencer’s single, full-screen Bionic Arm rush-punch in MvC 3. Not only that, but sneak peeks at the redesigned Juri Han and suited up Urien were tucked in right at the end. Juri still has her sadism and crazy kicks while Urien’s still got that Aegis Reflector tech to bounce people off of.

Balrog will be joining the cast as a playable character alongside Ibuki in the game’s July 1st update this Friday. For those of you looking forward to EVO 2016, Joey Cuellar, founding member of EVO, felt the hype and had this to post on his twitter.
