Quake Champions Open to Everyone…for a Bit

Posted on 09 May 2017 by

In the coming days, all those excited to jump into Quake Champions will have their wishes granted when the Open Beta becomes available to all starting this May 12, until May 21st.

Just sign up with your Bethesda account and you’re immediately entered into the Beta. No need to wait for a code anymore, just sign in, play, frag and die! With this timed Open Beta, Bethesda is also introducing a new game mode called “Sacrifice” which is basically just a 4 vs 4 mode, and to top it all off, the NDA will finally be lifted from! Which will be the perfect time to upload all of your frag-tastic videos and screenshots to the world wide interwebs in all it’s glory.

Official Press Release

A trio of big new items today for shooter fans looking to get into Quake Champions:

Large Scale Tech Test

First, we will be hosting a Large Scale Tech Test from May 12 to May 21, during which time those who would like to play the pre-release version of the game will be able to sign-up and play immediately. No wondering if you’re going to get a code – you’ll get it right away! And, during the Tech Test, the game will remain live 24/7 for the full duration, rather than the previous weekend-only structure.

Sacrifice Mode Unveiled

Second, during the Large Scale Tech Test, Quake Champions’ new 4v4, team-based competitive mode – Sacrifice – will be playable for the first time. Players should form their teams and choose their Champions to work together to dominate the Arenas in this fresh competitive play style.

No More NDA

Finally, the player NDA will drop on May 12 — the entirety of the Large Scale Tech Test will be available for players to stream, capture, and otherwise share and discuss publicly. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone showcasing their skills online.

To join the Large Scale Tech Test, players should visit www.Quake.com to register. More news on Quake Champions will be coming in the next few days.
