I still remember that old Prey 2 CGI trailer from Blur Studio back in 2011 and worrying after the news that it was cancelled, would we ever get another Prey game in our sweaty hands? Luckily, I was wrong.
Arkane Studios and Bethesda teamed up to finally give Prey another chance. Will it take its chance seriously? We’ll find out on May 5th when it finally releases on Steam, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. That being said, a few days ago I tried out Prey’s demo on the PlayStation 4, and I have to admit, it wasn’t a great experience…lackluster visuals and incredibly sluggish controls made me stop playing after 30 minutes.
The lack of a demo on PC also has me worried. Arkane says they paid more attention to the PC version this time around compared to Dishonored 2’s PC port, but we all know that it’s just the usual PR speak. It might be true, it might not be. It’s not long until we find out regardless, here’s hoping for the best, would be a shame for Prey’s second coming to fail so soon.
We’ve just released a new trailer to celebrate Prey’s upcoming worldwide launch on May 5th! Check out this official launch trailer then step into your TranStar uniform and prepare to fight the invasion.
