Prey Gets a Release Date and a New Trailer

It’s been a while since we heard from Arkane and Bethesday about Prey, the two companies recently were mostly focused on Dishonored 2 and the issues that followed its release, but today they spilled the beans on the release date. On May 5th, in the rebooted franchise, we will be exploring the derelict space station Talos I that is orbiting the moon and is infested with alien lifeform-things. No surprise here, but you will have to clear out anything that moves and/or is alive so that it doesn’t affect the rest of the human race on the big blue ball (planet).

The announcement comes with a pretty sweet trailer that I feel is the most comprehensive thing we’ve see for the game yet. It provides a nice balance between tease and information about Prey as well as manages to show it in a much better fashion compared to both, previous trailers and gameplay footage.

The game is already purchasable and as these days it‘s impossible to have a pre-order without some incentive, besides a promise of a good game, Prey will have a Cosmonaut Shotgun Pack as a bonus. The pack will include, surprise, a shotgun, and some other tools and material that’s supposed to make the game a bit easier.

Pre-order or not, the game is out on 5th of May for all regions and platforms. But if you thing we are deceptive shape-shifting aliens and don’t believe us, confirm on the official press release below.
