Monster Hunter World Wildspire Waste Area Revealed

Posted on 18 Aug 2017

Monster Hunter‘s desert areas are often brutal and bleak but one of those (hint, it’s the latter) looks like it’s not true for Monster Hunter World at least. Today we’ve got a look at the new Wildspire Waste area, which will be this entry’s desert. Arrekz over on YouTube has already done an excellent breakdown of the trailer if you’re hungry for all the small details.

Monster Hunter World will be coming to consoles early 2018 with PC at a later date.

Official Press Release

Ahead of GamesCom we’ve released a brand new video that showcases some of the action you can look forward to seeing in Monster Hunter: World as well as taking a first look at a brand new location, Wildspire Waste. A massive, mostly dry expanse with swamplands, this particular area of the New World sees creatures who inhabit the areas adapting to survive. Start your adventure early and take a sneak peek at what to expect when the game launches next year and download the latest trailer and all new screenshots from the press site here.

Monster Hunter: World sees players take on the role of a hunter that completes various quests to hunt and slay monsters within a lively living and breathing eco-system full of predators…. and prey. In the new video you can see some more of the creatures you can expect to come across upon adventuring on your quest. These magnificent beasts include the likes of the Kulu-Ya-Ku, a bird like creature that is often seen stealing other monsters’ eggs from the Ancient Forest and Wildspire Waste. The giant Barroth is a returning Monster Hunter series favourite and can be found marking its territory with mud as it wanders in search of its favourite snack – ants. Don’t be fooled by its taste for smaller meals though, this creature will charge anyone or anything that invades its territory and only the bravest of hunters can take on the challenge to bring it down.
