2K’s Civilization VI development team isn’t exactly an indie one, so it should be expected that they have quite a few big-wigs. Development team leaders Ed Beach, Denoton Shirk, Anton Strenger, and Brian Busatti took the time to discuss their goals for Civilization VI’s visual design, gameplay, and innovations on video.
In addition to them, Christopher Tin, composer of Civilization IV and Baba Yetu, is returning as Civ VI’s head composer to make songs like “Sogno di Volare” or The Dream of Flight.
Sid Meier’s Civilization VI is launching on Oct 21st for Windows PC, and for a sneak peek of the soundtrack, Sogno di Volare will be performed by Britain’s National Orchestra at Cadogan Hall on July 19th.
2K and Firaxis Games today released a new video introducing the team behind Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, launching on Oct 21st for Windows PC.
Civilization VI reunites renowned developers behind the Gods & Kings and Brave New World expansion packs for Civilization V.
Lead Designer Ed Beach and Lead Producer Dennis Shirk, along with Art Director Brian Busatti, collectively have over 30 years of experience at Firaxis Games and have been crucial in helping Civilization V achieve its current standing as the most-played strategy game on Steam. Now, led by these seasoned veterans, the team at Firaxis is poised to create the most comprehensive Civilization experience to date in Civilization VI.
