Mass Effect Launches Andromeda in March

As confirmed by BioWare General Manager, Aaryn Flynn, Mass Effect: Andromeda will reach our grubby little mitts on March 21st for North America, and the 23rd for Europe, because fuck us right? Why do companies still do that anyway? It’s an asinine, utterly barse-ackwards business practice that just rubs people up the wrong way. So go eat a dick BioWare/EA.

Anyhoo, my feelings aside, according to Flynn, each year BioWare staff take home a version of the game they’re working on, which they call the Holiday Build. They then spend that holiday season playing the shit out of their own game to see how it works. Whilst that, frankly, sounds like total bollocks to me, supposedly this year’s Andromeda was up to snuff, and now they’re putting the final touches on it, just in time for a March launch.

Hooray! Mmm, all those flavours to choose from…and I pick saltiest one. Joy!

We'll see. ME 3 was great, but I didn't really care for Dragon Age Inquisition, and that seems to be the way they're going with this. I'm looking forward to doing some actual exploration in a ME game again, but lately Bioware games just feel too clinical. Maybe that's because I'm older and I can see through the facade to the underlying game, but I suspect the corporate-ness of EA or even Bioware is a case as well.
