The entirety of Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite’s roster has just been potentially leaked when Ryce, a reputable NeoGAF leaker, posted about the games 28-character roster. While unofficial, Ryce leaked Infinite’s announcement a week before it’s debut at PSX last year and gained a noble reputation since then. Below you will find the alleged vanilla characters that have been predicted.
It’s worthwhile to note that Ryce admitted that the Capcom side was missing a character, and that he predicts it to be Frank West. As for DLC characters, it’s less clear, but Sigma has been confirmed and Venom has been leaked as another. Worryingly, there’s a notable absence of any Fantastic Four or X-Men characters: Wolverine, Storm and Dr.Doom are series classics, but they aren’t on this list, and their chances of appearing as DLC packs are still unknown at this point.
With the exception of a few characters like Gamora, Jedah and Monster Hunter, all these characters have been in previous Marvel vs Capcom titles, which has left some fans a bit disappointed. While Marvel vs Capcom 3 pulled characters like Amaterasu, Viewtiful Joe and Arthur from somewhat obscure titles, Infinite’s roster seems very… triple A, and obvious in comparison.
Regardless of what people think, it’s nice to finally have some more information on Infinite, Capcom’s slow trickle of character announcements just weren’t doing it. Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite is set to release sometime this year on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
