Tracking five different stories across the different fronts of the Great War is no small task, but internet darling Battlefield 1 looks to do just that. From the eyes of a Bedouin warrior taking down a German juggernaut, to a pair of friends that fly high above the skies, all five stories are hoping to improve off the mediocre storytelling mess that was Battlefield 4, and the engaging, but overwrought tale in Hardline.
The campaign has never been DICE’s strong suit with the all-out war simulator, but on a year that has people clamoring for even the slightest bit of news about the massive World War 1 FPS, here’s to hoping they will learn from their past mistakes, and provide a thoughtful, coherent piece.
Battlefield 1 launches October 21st.
