Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice Dev Diary 29

Posted on 07 Aug 2017

With just a day before Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice comes out Ninja Theory released their final dev diary, where they recall the journey and challenges encountered on the way. This being their first fully independent project, it had many hurdles and challenges with the goal being to deliver a great game. Even though the resources were limited Ninja Theory team didn’t cut corners and if something was not good enough the development team made sure to rework it.

One of the most admirable things has to be how much effort was put into making sure psychosis was fairly portrayed. They put in a lot of effort into making sure it did not just show stereotypical behaviour but consulted both, psychiatrists and people with mental health issues to get their input.

At the end of the video diary you can see a recap of all the journey since the games inception back in the summer of 2014 and if you like what you see, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is out tomorrow – August 8th.
