GOG Opens Summer Sale Season

With the inevitable countdown to the Steam summer sale GOG have launched a pre-emptive strike –GOG.com Summer Sale. This isn’t the first time they are running it, nor are they the only ones but regardless of the effort, Steam still has the monopoly. Though GOG is the company to make a dent and they will make damn sure to make it a noteworthy one. Besides having over a thousand games on sale GOG is running extra daily activities where you can earn XP by doing certain actions. When you get a set amount you can get a free game with a total of 3 tiers with a game per tier on offer.

GOG is a wonderful company. They’ve done lots of things right in our beloved industry starting with promoting DRM free games all the way to letting you link your Steam account. For this you at least owe them to take a look. Also to promote the GOG Galaxy client they are giving away System Shock 2. If you don’t have it yet make sure to download the client and claim the game.

The sale lasts Wednesday, 22 of June, 2016.
