Gears of War 2 brought the wave based co-op mode into the limelight. Since its introduction back in 2008 a lot of games quickly followed suit, but very few made it as renowned and enjoyable as GoW 2 did. Almost 10 years later, we now have Horde 3.0, Gears of War 4’s tricked out version of the original co-op mode. This time around you have multiple classes to choose from, as well as a character progression system. You can select between Soldier, Scout, Sniper, Heavy and Engineer classes that best suit your preferred game style. If you want to be defensive and build things, then the Engineer is your man. If you prefer to jump into combat feet first, it’s either the Soldier or Heavy class for you.
Gears of War 4 also marks the first time that Horde mode comes to the PC. It’s a pity the game is a Windows 10 Store exclusive, although, I guess it’s better this than nothing at all… You’ll be able to get your mitts on GoW 4 when it’s finally released October 7th.
