There are scarcely three weeks to go until Ubisoft’s three way hackathon, For Honor, hits the shelves to eat up the entirety of my waking existence. But more importantly than that, the final closed beta session begins in less than a week. Offering us the chance to play as nine out of the final twelve playable heroes. Four from each faction in total. Which is rather disappointing, because all twelve were in the last one and, of course, one of those missing this time was my favourite. Sadface.
Not to worry, there are plenty of other strong incentives remaining. Including three brand new maps, the first chance to try out the global “Factions War” metagame, and a companion website called SCARS. In which players can customise the warrior of their inner soul. With weapon, armour and battle scars to tell the tale of their heroic deeds, there’s also the chance to win yourself a beta invite if you don’t have one already.
So go, noble warrior, make your mark on the world and beware. I shall see you on the battlefield.
