Playing as the Pathfinder, a soldier/explorer hybrid in a quest to find humanity a new home amongst the stars, Mass Effect: Andromeda is the next chapter in Bioware’s sprawling space opera epic.

With the first look at gameplay coming as part of The Game Awards, rendered in glorious 4K, the Pathfinder and their allies journey across the Andromeda galaxy, visiting the Kadara system in particular. A variant of the Mako returns, along with resource scanning and some wide-open gameplay. Looking like a combination of No Man’s Sky and Mass Effect might not be the worst combination of games, and when Andromeda arrives in Spring 2017, we’ll know more about the new galaxy, and new game.
