We’re not expecting a huge amount out of Capcom this year. Expect another trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 2 and patch info for Monster Hunter Rise on Switch but other than that we don’t really know what they could have up their sleeves. It’s a short show so let’s get into it and find out:
The original Monster Hunter Stories on 3DS was a surprisingly engaging and charming RPG that stumbled over its own ambition several times. We’re interested to see just what Capcom can pull off with their second shot at the series and the trailers are looking good. Expect to become friends with a Rathalos, learn and use words like “monstie” in conversation with your friends, and to lose dozens of hours on a journey about friendship and saving the world.
Courtroom drama visual novel series Ace Attorney is getting a new entry in the form of The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles in which players take on the role of rookie lawyer Ryunosuke right after his arrival in Victorian-era London. Expect more of the series trademark witty humour, just not in the name of supporting character Herlock Sholmes. The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is releasing on 27 July 2021 for PC, Switch, and PlayStation.
That’s it. Short and sweet. We’re a little saddened there wasn’t a confirmation of Monster Hunter Rise for PC but at least we’re getting the excellent looking Stories 2 and Ace Attorney. We’ve still got more E3 for you over the next day so stay tuned.
