Dragon Quest Heroes II – Gameplay Breakdown

Dragon Quest may be one of the grand-daddies of the RPG genre, but they’ve got a few new tricks coming up with Dragon Quest Heroes II, the biggest of which is online co-op.

Dragon Quest Heroes II is a 1-4 player open world game, complete with the dungeons and iconic monsters that have put Dragon Quest on the throne it sits on today. Heroes II will also be the second in the series to be released on Steam, and one of very few ever made for PC platform.

If Final Fantasy XIV’s MMO world and setting just weren’t for you, this might be a good fit if you’re in the market for a legacy RPG with online co-op gameplay. Dragon Quest Heroes II is scheduled to release on April 28th for PlayStation 4 and PC.

LONDON (22nd February 2017) – Square Enix Ltd., today welcomes players to the world of DRAGON QUEST HEROES™II, with a brand new overview trailer detailing everything you need to know about the upcoming action-RPG.

The overview trailer gives an insight into the journey players will undertake across DRAGON QUEST HEROES II’s vast lands, introducing the colourful cast of characters and creatures they will befriend and battle along the way.

DRAGON QUEST HEROES II will arrive across Europe and PAL territories for the PlayStation®4, on 28th April 2017 and will be available on STEAM® from 25th April.

The day one “Explorer’s Edition” is also available to pre-order now, featuring 15 exclusive DLC items as well as a reversible cover artwork depicting the in-game Adventure Log. The DLC includes weapons designed from the enemies in the game, including the Slime Knight’s Shield, Great Sabreclaws, Golem Gauntlets and more.
