Bethesda and id Software has released an exciting teaser trailer for DOOM’s first premium DLC coming August 5th, Unto The Evil, as well as showing off some of the content available from their 2nd free content update. On top of the huge update yesterday, players have a weekend full of carnage and mayhem ahead of them with DOOM’s first double-XP event. Demon killers have 48 hours to take advantage and level up as much as possible in order to get ready for the upcoming Multiplayer DLC content. Unto The Evil will include three new maps, Offering, Cataclysm and Ritual, a new UAC EMG Pistol, Kinetic Mine, the playable Harvester Demon and additional customizable armour sets, patterns and colours.
Lots of glorious goodies have been dropped into the laps of DOOM players last month, such as the classic center-screen gun placement option, the campaign photo mode and several props to use with SnapMap, among many fixes and optimizations to the game, including the Vulkan API update. This week will be no different in regards with a huge list of fixes, updates and new content, such as the inclusion of two new multiplayer modes, Exodus, a unique twist on the classic ‘Capture-the-Flag’ mode and Sector, an objective based ‘Hold-the-Fort’ mode. The newly added Mancubus playable demon and 30 brand new Hell-themed modules, weapons and a vast array of other improvements to SnapMap will give all players a more robust and fun filled selection to create with.
