The update titled, Game Update 1, will be launched Monday the 19th of December. This New Game Plus update aims to add more longevity to Dishonored 2 by unlocking more abilities once you’ve completed the game, and giving you more choice in how you “tool up” your character. With more updates being planned for January and onward, one of which Arkane will introduce further difficulty options and a “Mission Select” feature to the game.

Dishonored 2 hasn’t had nearly as warm a reception as its predecessor. Two of the biggest complaints made about it are; lack of replayability, and selecting specific missions without having to replay the entire game again. It’s great to see that Arkane are addressing these two issues, it should be noted that optimization has also been a big problem for some people. Arkane claims this is mainly a driver problem which should be fixed by updating to NVidia driver 375.95, or AMD driver 16.11.4.

For the entire run down of everything included with the newest update, and a massive list of all bug fixes, tweaks and optimizations, check out the official Dishonored 2 Steam news page.
