Developer Atelier 801, previously responsible for the cutesy free to play platformer Transformice, have announced they’re working on a free-to-play zombie survival MMO titled Dead Maze. In the new game players will team up with others to scavenge for supplies and work together to rebuild society, if they’re to survive.

Player cooperation key to survival in upcoming free-to-play isometric MMO set for a release on Steam in early 2018
Lille, France – 10th August 2017 – The upcoming free-to-play isometric MMO Dead Maze has today been revealed by French developer Atelier 801, with a full launch scheduled for early 2018 on PC (Steam). Set in a world where humanity has been devastated by a plague of infected, player cooperation takes center stage in Dead Maze with thousands of players having to explore, scavenge and work together to survive and rebuild society.

The world as we know it is gone, overrun by unrelenting hordes of infecteds. Players in Dead Maze take on the role as one of the few remaining survivors, who have to work together to stay alive in a ravaged contemporary world where death lurks around every corner. Resources can be scavenged and turned into life-saving supplies, while ordinary objects become deadly weapons against a wide array of aggressive, hive-minded infected. The free-to-play game Dead Maze features a unique visual style, with a colourful 2D isometric perspective, showing destruction in all its glorying detail.
