Dark Souls III DLC: The Ringed City Announced

The last Dark Souls III DLC pack has been announced, and this time it’s really the end. The Ringed City DLC is the second of the two promised DLC packs for Dark Souls III, and is looking as bleak and filled with monsters as you’d expect.

“At the close of the Age of Fire, as the world ends and all lands converge upon themselves, a lone adventurer descends into the madness of the earth and uncovers the secrets of the past. As players make their way to the fabled Ringed City they will encounter ancient beasts, a new cast of characters teetering on the edge of insanity, new armor, weapons, magic, and at the bottom of it all, a long lost city filled with new horrors for players to overcome.”

Bandai Namco also announced that a bundle pack, Dark Souls III: The Fire Fades Edition, will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on April 21, and will come with the base game along with both DLC packs.

If the new deformed monsters and lightsaber weapon didn’t impress, it looks like From Software booked the Balrog as a boss fight too. On the lore side, there have been plenty of rumors about the giant women being everyone from a descendent of Gwynevere to Velka, goddess of sin.

Dark Souls III: The Ringed City will cost $14.99, and is included in the $24.99 Season Pass.
