id Software is posed to return to the roots of good old deathmatch and they are running another DOOM closed beta from March 31st till April 3rd. This is not the first round and from what I experienced the game is pretty solid. Contrary to what other major publishers do this felt like a real beta (instead of a glorified demo) which only strengthens the feeling that id are trying to make DOOM what we want and hope it will be. If you pre-ordered Wolfenstein: The New Order you should be able to participate too, otherwise we can only hope there will be a beta open to the public later down the line.
Today we released a new multiplayer gameplay trailer to prepare players for DOOM’s upcoming Closed Beta!
The Closed Beta will run from March 31 – April 3 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, and will be available to those that pre-ordered Wolfenstein: The New Order and redeemed their Beta code. For more information about the Closed Beta, please visit http://doom.com/beta .
DOOM is under development at id Software, the studio that pioneered the first-person shooter genre and invented multiplayer Deathmatch. Relentless demons, impossibly destructive guns, and fast, fluid movement provide the foundation for intense, first-person combat – whether you’re obliterating demon hordes through the depths of Hell in the single-player campaign, or competing against your friends in numerous multiplayer modes. Expand your gameplay experience using DOOM SnapMap game editor to easily create, play, and share your content with the world.
DOOM will launch worldwide on May 13, 2016 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. For more information about the game please visit www.DOOM.com
