The wonderful folks over at Little Red Dog Games, the devs behind the geopolitical strategy Steam hit Rogue State, are excited to announce their next project that’s launched via Kickstarter. The team has hopes of raising a rather modest $15,000 to finish off the development of Deep Sixed, aiming to launch the game by November 2017. Check out the below Press Release, as well as their Kickstarter page for more details about their upcoming roguelike space-sim.
Deep Sixed is a roguelike space sim that will force you to use strategy, ingenuity and duct tape to keep your ship (and your skull) in one piece as you risk exploring a mysterious nebula protected by dangerous alien creatures.
Please note: When I say “use duct tape to keep your ship in one piece”, I’m not being hyperbolic. You can literally keep your ship held together using duct tape if everything suddenly starts falling apart and you have no other choice.
The gameplay loop of Deep Sixed is best described as a unique hybrid of Vlaada Chvátil’s board game Space Alert, meets Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes. Deep Sixed is permadeath and every decision the player makes counts for the rest of the run. No savescumming allowed here!
