With PAX East just around the corner, id Software and Saber Interactive are looking to move their Quake resurgence into closed Beta.
Promising an unlocked framerate, the impressive speed of the original Quake multiplayer games, and 120 Hz server tick-rates, even with the inclusion of champions with their own abilities, Quake Champions has all the hallmarks of a great arena FPS. In the weeks leading up to the closed Beta, id Software has promised more information on the first Champion, Nyx, and the first Arena, Blood Covenant, which is set to release on the official website later this week.
Interested parties can sign up for the closed Beta here, and while there’s no set release date for the Beta at this time, it is expected to kick off in the coming weeks.
