The Deathwing Rise Up to Strike Again With New Co-op Loadouts

To coincide with this weeks’ Midweek Madness, Streum On have released a pretty hefty update for Space Hulk: Deathwing.

A game which received an extremely mediocre reception at launch, but has consistently improved ever since. This latest patch having actually been available as a Beta build for several months, allowing players to fully play test it, with Streum waiting for the communities’ go ahead before patching it into the main game, which has now finally happened.

Along with general performance tweaks, not least of which being simultaneous loading for all squad members in co-op. There are also several new weapons, expanding the load out options of pretty much every class. Including the sorely missed Heavy Flamer, which really should have been there from the beginning. Also my personal favourite, the Hellfire, which fires rounds that explode, then burn the Xenos filth with acid…I mean, freakin’ come on!

Whether this will be enough to buoy the game’s generally lackluster reception to date, remains to be seen. With many having voiced off in the Steam forums, for many months, about their complete disdain for everything about it, but I can tell you this much, it scored some massive brownie points with yours truly.
