Orcs Must Die! Unchained was already available for months, if not years, as Beta via Steam and their own client, but now it’s finished and available, again…still on Steam and their own website. I know, crazy right!?
Since just releasing the game without any changes compared to the Beta is a somewhat pointless endeavor, they have taken it upon themselves to include the new game-mode “Sabotage” with it, which you can check out our coverage on it over here. So get crackin’ and download the game already!
It’s free, fun and has Co-Op, oh and Crates too! Apparently, you lot like that stuff…for some reason.
PLANO, Texas – April 19, 2017 – Robot Entertainment announced that its hilarious free-to-play team action tower defense game Orcs Must Die! Unchained launches for PC on Steam and OrcsMustDie.com today.
The full release will see the introduction of the brand new game mode “Sabotage”. The brand new 3v3 Sabotage mode offers a completely different way to play Orcs Must Die! Unchained. Players assemble a team to defend their rift, while the opposing players will occupy an ‘alternate reality’ version of the same map, invisible to the enemy team. By protecting their own rift and plunging the defences of their foes into chaos, one team will end the match with the most rift points to claim victory.
Orcs Must Die! Unchained takes the award-winning Orcs Must Die! tower defense gameplay and adds both cooperative and competitive team-based action to the mix. Players select one of sixteen heroes and team up with two other friends to defend their rift from ruthless hordes of orcs and minions.
About The Orcs Must Die! Series
Orcs Must Die! is an action-strategy game series that challenges players and their friends to team up and defend a world constantly under siege. The original Orcs Must Die! released to critical acclaim in October 2011, winning the AIAS Strategy Game of the Year. It was followed in 2012 by the co-operative sequel, Orcs Must Die! 2. In 2016, Orcs Must Die! Unchained takes the award-winning Orcs Must Die! action tower defense gameplay to a whole new level with team-based gameplay. The stakes are higher, the traps are bloodier, and the invaders are even more ravenous. Orcs Must Die! Unchained is available on Steam and OrcsMustDie.com, with a PlayStation 4 version following later this year.
