Yes, that’s right, this PlayStation 4 “exclusive” is coming to Steam as a complete edition, including all DLC and being, well, generally complete. For those unfamiliar with Nioh, it’s another of those Dark Souls-esque games, but set in a Samurai fantasy era. Magical lime green bird people, giant horny demons, all that good stuff.
Better yet, it’s coming in only five weeks time, though we don’t have a price point for you at present. We can, however, confirm that it will be capable of running at 60fps and has 4k support. Reportedly, the game will have two different modes to accommodate this, Action and Movie respectively, which sounds a bit weird. It’s unclear if the latter, 4k, mode will be locked to some other framerate. There’s no indication it will, be it still seems a little odd that Koei feel the need to distinguish between the two.
One last thing, there will even be new content, solely for the Steam release, in the form of a new helmet, called the Dharmachakra Kabuto. No word on whether it will offer any kind of buffs, but the name would suggest it augments your magics in some way. All in all, not a bad piece of news for a dull, Monday afternoon.
