Meeting the Locals in Aven Colony’s Latest Trailer

Mothership Entertainment have released a new trailer for their flagship game, Aven Colony, and in this one, we get to meet the locals.

Aside from odd balls of what appear to be plasma, the occasional floating brain, giant cell like creatures and a massive worm, you will also get to see the weather. From heavy snow storms, to sandstorms, even miasmatic green glow that can envelop your colony, so you will have to build the appropriate items to keep your citizens alive and well.

Now, I did mention the locals earlier, well, the worms are acid-spewing, the cell like creatures are Creep Spores that infect buildings, the plasma like ones are Plague Spores that infect your citizens once they get inside, so…you will need a few defensive turrets, cleaning sprays and a verbose medical facility at the very least.

Also in the news was that the sandbox version is being given some good ol’ love and attention, so we will hopefully see a huge set of customizations, and who knows, maybe a mission editor at some point (wishful, but can happen). If you are interested in RTS games, head on over and keep an eye out for the Steam release of Aven Colony sometime before July.
